The Academy, which was established in the first years of independence of the country, has become one of the leading educational establishments for training internal affairs personnel. The Academy is not only a leading educational establishment within the system of the MOI of Uzbekistan but also a major scientific and educational center. The Academy applies advanced educational technologies on a wide scale, develops its own pedagogic methods and implements these into its academic activities. The teaching staff has carried out a significant amount of work on the theoretical, applied scientific and analytical generalization of law protection activities and development of proven theoretical recommendations to effectively tackle the issues faced in the strengthening of legality, crime control and ensuring public security. It undertakes topical theoretical and applied scientific research related to the activities of internal affairs bodies, and public safety.
